Summary
Four Stroke Support Groups meet monthly: for survivors, couples and care partners. Living with Stroke learning series offered twice yearly.
Communities Served
Southeastern Ontario. Support Groups available in Belleville, Kingston, Brockville, and Perth.
Accreditation/Regulatory Body
Facilitators vary in their training and association with regulatory colleges.
Specialized Training
Stroke Services Facilitator has Heart and Stroke Foundation training to lead Living with Stroke and Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA – Aphasia Institute)
Fee For Service
None for support groups; nominal fee for Living with Stroke
