I have been doing a lot of searches online looking for brain injury resouces and have stumbled into what may seem like an unlikely source: YouTube! Now I know you think it’s all videos of kittens and babies doing hilarious and adorable things, and you’re right, but more and more it is becoming the place where organizations of all types share material. One such example of this is the Brainstreams.ca channel which includes numerous survivor stories, interviews with professionals, and instructional videos on recovery. One gem I came across is “Guided Breathing for Recovery with Lesley Ewen“. This experienced meditator, actor, and ABI survivor does a fabulous job walking us through breathing techniques which help with achieving a state of relaxation that supports brain recovery. I encourage you to check it out – there’s more information than you might think!
