The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has partnered with MedicAlert Foundation Canada to better assist officers with their interactions with vulnerable persons.
Connect Protect: MedicAlert and Smith Falls, Brockville and Gananoque
Brain Injury Canada has partnered with MedicAlert to bring support and visibility to individuals living with acquired brain injury (ABI). Connect and Protect is a service where Police partners have direct 24/7 access to a MedicAlert subscriber’s file. This includes emergency contact information, medical information, physical description, up-to-date photo, wandering history, triggers & de-escalation techniques – all of which have been identified by police to be vital in their operations. Connect Protect is to make ABI more visible to first responders and others.
